✨ACNE TIP: Use brushes instead of sponges!✨
Sponges can be a great way to blend out your makeup because it gives a smooth even finish! But if you have acne prone skin, brushes are the preferred blending tool!
Sponges are made of porous materials which makes it very difficult to properly disinfect them after washing them. It is also for this reason, that they are considered single use only.
Brushes on the other hand, are much easier to clean and disinfect making them the best choice for those with acne issues so that you are not spreading bacteria and oils all over your face.
You should also clean your foundation brush after each and every use to prevent build up of bacteria on your brushes. This will also help your application from looking muddy.
It is important to note that you want to make sure that you are thoroughly rinsing all of the soap or brush cleanser out of your brushes. Any residue left in the brush will prevent the brush from picking up product and may leave a coating on your powder products.
