An easy 15 minute project that will restore some order and calm to your day.
With every kitchen I see with my clients the biggest problem is simply too much stuff and the utensils drawer is one of the main offenders.
This simple exercise is perfect for our home isolation period. To begin, remove all utensils and group into categories, assess how many spatulas, wooden spoons and multiples of everything that you actually need!🤦🏻♀️🤣 Wipe utensils drawers and put back ONLY the essentials!! Even try some colour coding or wood with wood, metal with metal etc. ☺️ Place the non essentials in a basket/box and place on kitchen bench ( if you can bear it otherwise laundry bench ). Whenever you need to actually need to use a utensil from the basket, THEN, it can go back in the utensils drawer.
After a month you will clearly see what is not needed in the everyday utensils drawer and what had been clogging it up. Use this as a time to discard further or keep them in the box in another area, like I do, see 3rd pic.
Utensils that you only need at Christmas, Easter or for celebrations do not need to be in the everyday kitchen area and your kitchen will feel so much calmer for it, which is exactly what we need right now! All we need is less.🖤
